Trump announces Haley will join his team after she pledges to vote for him

Former President Donald Trump hinted at the possibility of including former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in his team following her endorsement of him for the November elections.

“I really liked what she said,” Trump expressed to Long Island’s News 12 following his rally in the Bronx on Thursday.

According to Trump, he believes that she will be on his team because they share similar ideas and thoughts.

It remains uncertain to what extent Haley will actively support Trump’s re-election, considering her lukewarm endorsement. Currently, Haley has not made any public statements indicating her intention to collaborate with the Trump campaign. Following a report on May 11 suggesting that Haley might be considered for the vice president position, the former president quickly responded on Truth Social, stating, “Nikki Haley is not being considered for the V.P. slot, but I wish her the best!”

Nikki Haley, the former United Nations ambassador, expressed her intention to vote for Trump due to her belief that President Joe Biden’s performance in foreign affairs has been inadequate.

During a discussion on foreign policy at the Hudson Institute, a conservative think tank where she is employed, Haley expressed her views on the two candidates. She acknowledged that Trump might not have been flawless in his policies but firmly stated that Biden’s track record has been disastrous. Consequently, she declared her intention to cast her vote for Trump.

In her speech suspending her campaign on March 6, Haley reiterated her commitment to the remarks she made, stating, “it is now Donald Trump’s responsibility to earn the votes of those in our party who did not support him, and I sincerely hope that he does.”

Haley’s talent for attracting a diverse range of voters, including independents and moderate Republicans, has gained considerable recognition. The Biden campaign has acknowledged the importance of reaching out to these voters, considering their dissatisfaction with Trump as the Republican nominee. Remarkably, Haley’s appeal has persisted even after she withdrew from the race.
