Stephen Colbert delivered a sharp reminder to Donald Trump on Tuesday, highlighting his major business failures and a deeply personal one.
Shares in Trump’s Truth Social website took a nosedive this week, resulting in a significant loss of around $4 billion in value for the company, according to “The Late Show” host.
Colbert expressed his astonishment, stating, “I’m genuinely surprised that Truth Social held any value.”
The stock price experienced a decline following the disclosure in an SEC filing that the company only generated $4.1 million in revenue last year, resulting in a loss of over $58 million.
“It’s truly a monumental failure,” Colbert remarked. “We haven’t witnessed such a colossal loss since the Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza Hotel, Trump Steaks, Trump Airlines, Trump University, and Trump, Eric.”
During his Tuesday night monologue, he delved into the topic further.
