Sheriff’s Deputy from El Paso County Arrested and Booked into Jail, Previously Assigned to Detention Security

A deputy with three years of experience at the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office was taken into custody on Friday, as reported by EPSO.

Marie Lahoff, a 33-year-old individual, has been arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail in connection with a domestic violence incident in Colorado Springs. The charges against her include Assault in the Second Degree, Assault in the Third Degree, Menacing, and False Imprisonment.

According to a statement from EPSO, Lahoff has been working at the sheriff’s office as a detention officer since October 2021.

Lahoff has been placed on administrative leave, following the department’s policy.

The investigation will be taken over by the Colorado Springs Police.
