NBA Youngboy faces a challenging legal battle as he was arrested in Utah on Tuesday evening. The Louisiana rapper was taken into custody on multiple charges after allegedly violating his house arrest.
The Cache County Sheriff’s Office arrested the 24-year-old on multiple charges, as reported by local Fox affiliates. These charges include possession of controlled substances and a dangerous weapon, identity fraud and forgery, attempting to procure drugs/prescriptions, and engaging in a pattern of unlawful activity. The arrest took place around 6:30 PM.
According to jail records, a bail amount has not yet been set.
YoungBoy has been living in the Beehive State for a few years now. He made headlines last year when he announced that he was converting to Mormonism and expressed his fear of people.
In December, a judge eased the conditions of his house arrest to allow for mental health treatments. However, recent reports suggest that he may have taken advantage of these privileges and engaged in abusive behavior.
The young star is still awaiting trial for federal gun charges that he caught in 2020. It seems that his latest arrest could potentially complicate things for him.
