Independence police execute effective ‘DWI saturation patrol’ with significant scope

Several DWI arrests were made on Friday night due to a DWI enforcement campaign conducted by the Independence police in Independence, Missouri.

At approximately 7 p.m. on Friday, the Independence Police Department dispatched a team of 17 officers for DWI enforcement. Their primary focus was on the major roadways east of Noland Road, which have experienced a significant number of vehicle crashes and impaired driving arrests.

According to IPD, a total of 75 cars were pulled over, resulting in 25 hazardous moving violations, 67 non-moving violations, and 4 DWI arrests. It is worth noting that one of the DWI arrests was related to drug impairment.
