Paramus Officer Successfully Pursues Two Different Suspects Involved in Same Mall Incident

A police officer from Paramus engaged in a pursuit of two different suspects who had attempted to escape from the Bergen Towne Center, as per authorities.

According to Police Chief Robert Guidetti, three individuals fled from Nordstrom Rack after stealing Burberry and Givenchy clothing, as well as a Reaction wristwatch valued at approximately $667.

Officer Kevin Grady, one of the responders, pursued Yerbinson Zapata-Zus as he attempted to escape towards the east on Route 4 near Forest Avenue, according to the chief.

While Grady was driving him back to headquarters, Sergeant Keith Bland informed the chief that he had spotted a second suspect running on Forest Avenue near Belfi’s Towing.

Leanger Ramon Mendez and Zapata-Zus, both 25-year-olds from the Bronx, were taken to the police headquarters. They were charged with resisting arrest and offenses related to shoplifting.

The woman managed to escape.
