A mother from Illinois, who was wanted for abducting her own children, has been apprehended in Friendswood, Texas.
On Friday afternoon, the Friendswood Police Department officers noticed a vehicle that had been linked to a parental abduction that occurred in Burbank, Illinois earlier this week.
Veronica Lepe was identified as the mother of the children and the fugitive that the police had been searching for when they stopped the vehicle.
Three children, aged between four and eight years old, emerged from the incident unscathed, and Lepe was apprehended without any trouble.
Friendswood Police Department made a public announcement on their official Twitter account about an arrest.
