Four employees at BWI Airport suspended after alleged altercation at Spirit Airlines ticket counter

Four employees at BWI Marshall Airport were suspended following a recent altercation at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter.

Spirit Airlines has confirmed that the vendor has suspended the four individuals pending an investigation.

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police promptly responded to a report of a fight at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter at around 4:15 on May 28. It was reported that five individuals were involved in the altercation, resulting in minor injuries for one person, according to MDTA.

Spirit Airlines has acknowledged an incident that took place in Baltimore (BWI) on May 28. In a statement, the airline stated that four of their employees involved in the altercation have been suspended by their vendor pending an investigation. Spirit Airlines emphasized that they have a zero-tolerance policy towards violence and will take the necessary actions once the vendor’s investigation is completed.

The reason behind the altercation has not been disclosed by officials.
