A 99 Cents Only Store employee and her family are shot by shoplifters in Northeast Harris County, according to cops

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating whether the shooting is linked to a shoplifting incident at a 99 Cents Only Store.

According to the sheriff’s office, there was a disturbance involving shoplifters while a woman was working in the store earlier on Saturday.

Deputies later reported that shots were fired while the employee and her family were driving on Little York near the Eastex Freeway around 10 p.m.

According to Ryan, the individuals who engaged in shoplifting were also responsible for the shooting. However, it remains unclear whether the theft was the primary motivation behind the incident, as deputies are still investigating.

According to deputies, the man was transported to the hospital for surgery, and as of now, the shooters remain at large.

Fortunately, the child in the pickup truck escaped unharmed.
