The Crowne Plaza Hotel on US-59 at Kirby Drive is abuzz with excitement as a large crowd has gathered to take part in the Salvadoran general election on Sunday. The sheer size of the gathering has caused a stir and created some confusion in the area.
The event has garnered a remarkable voter turnout, as per sources from ABC13. Attendees are queuing up in lines that stretch around the block, causing traffic congestion on the feeder road.
Houston police were notified about a perceived protest at Crowne Plaza 59 at approximately 10:17 a.m. However, upon investigation, it was revealed that the event was actually the Salvadoran general election.
The initial protest report lacks clarity, but it seems that the main concern revolves around the disruption caused to the regular traffic flow.
The election is projected to continue until 5 p.m.
