A 28-year-old man received a sentence related to the 2019 shooting at Tequila Bar in Kansas City, Kansas, which resulted in the deaths of four individuals and multiple injuries. Javier Alatorre was sentenced on Friday, February 9, in Wyandotte County District Court to 22 years and three months in prison, having pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree murder.
According to investigators, on October 6, 2019, Hugo Villanueva-Morales, aged 34, and Alatorre entered the Tequila KC bar in Kansas City, Kansas, where they opened fire, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to five others.
Alatorre was apprehended shortly after the shooting incident, while Villanueva-Morales was captured in Mexico in mid-December 2019 and subsequently extradited to the U.S.
