Warden and wife of Alabama prison apprehended for drug-related offenses

A prison warden and his wife in Alabama were arrested on Friday for drug charges, according to state officials.

Chadwick Crabtree, the warden of the Limestone Correctional Facility, and his wife Melissa Crabtree have been arrested following the execution of warrants at their residence.

They both faced charges for possessing marijuana, a controlled substance, manufacturing a controlled substance, and possessing drug paraphernalia.

The authorities also conducted a search of his office at the correctional facility.

The officials have stated that he has been placed on leave without pay.
