Two people died in a car crash into a utility pole on Sunday morning, according to TPD

Officers from the Toledo Police Department are investigating a car crash that killed two persons Sunday morning.

Around 5:20 a.m. on Sunday, TPD officers responded to an accident at Cordova Street and South Avenue. Officers report that after bringing the injured people to a nearby hospital, where they were declared dead, they discovered more injuries. The victims of the crash were Donta Marshall, 25, and Jasmine Gresham, 30, according to the TPD.

The cause of the crash was not disclosed by the officers.

Crews from Toledo Edison also worked on the power pole scene. TPD said the crash is still being investigated.
