Former President Trump has scheduled campaign events in Wisconsin and Michigan for next week. This will be the first instance where he will take a break from his hush money trial in New York City to visit a battleground state.
Next Wednesday, Trump will travel to Waukesha, where his campaign has announced that he will give a speech highlighting the differences between the success, prosperity, and security of his first term and Joe Biden’s failed presidency.
Trump is anticipated to draw attention to the ongoing problem of rising prices, which has been a consistent challenge for the Biden administration. Additionally, he will address the significant increase in migrants at the southern border, which has had repercussions in states that are not directly located on the border.
“The Badger State is currently enduring the negative consequences of President Biden’s policies, and Wisconsin can once again experience security and lower costs with the return of President Trump!” stated Trump’s campaign in a press release introducing the event.
After the Wisconsin event, Trump will make his way to Freeland, Mich., where he is scheduled to give a speech at a rally that evening, according to his campaign.
During his public appearances in Manhattan, Trump has voiced his frustration about being prevented from campaigning for his re-election bid. He expressed his desire to hit the campaign trail and secure a second term in the White House, where he would face President Biden in a rematch scheduled for November.
Trump has a court obligation four days a week as he confronts charges of falsifying business records connected to an alleged hush money scheme in order to conceal an affair during the 2016 campaign. Usually, Wednesdays are exempt from the trial, and next week will be the initial opportunity for Trump to utilize that time for campaigning.
The ex-president had planned a rally in North Carolina last Saturday, but it had to be cancelled because of the severe weather.
In recent weeks, Biden has been actively traveling across various states, including Pennsylvania, Florida, and New York, to promote his agenda and criticize Trump’s stance on abortion and the economy.
