Tennessee Governor Lee sends Tennessee National Guard troops to the southern border

Governor Bill Lee pays a visit to the Tennessee National Guard troops prior to their deployment to the southern border of the United States.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is set to dispatch National Guard soldiers to the southern border in order to offer assistance to Texas. Over the weekend, the governor made a visit to these troops.

On Saturday, March 2, Governor Lee convened with the soldiers at the Millington Tennessee Army National Guard Armory.

In a recent development, Governor Lee made a firm commitment to dispatching two waves of active-duty soldiers to Texas.

Around 50 National Guard members will be deployed in the first operation, known as “Operation Lone Star.”

“Governor Bill Lee emphasized the ongoing border crisis in America, highlighting the severe repercussions of increased crime, drug trafficking, and human trafficking. Recognizing the lack of action from the federal government, governors are collaborating and swiftly stepping in to secure the border. Governor Lee commended the Tennessee National Guard troops for their crucial role in responding to this urgent call for service and providing vital assistance.”

According to the governor, these soldiers will offer crucial assistance to Texas and Governor Greg Abbott along the southern border.

According to him, the nation is currently facing the most severe border crisis in decades.

Several Republican governors have expressed their support for Texas as the Biden Administration attempts to impede their actions.

In addition to Governor Lee, First Lady Maria Lee, U.S. Congressman David Kustoff, Senator Ed Jackson, Senator Brent Taylor, Representative Chris Hurt, Representative Debra Moody, and Representative Chris Todd also visited these troops.
