State police say they apprehended a 16-year-old murder suspect from Indiana in Kentucky

Kentucky State Police have reported the arrest of a 16-year-old murder suspect from Indiana on Sunday in Western Kentucky.

Over the weekend, Kentucky State Police (KSP) troopers and detectives kept a watchful eye on a property in the Eddy Creek area of Lyon County. They had received information from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana that a murder suspect had traveled to a relative’s house in the area. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office had been alerted about this development on Friday.

The suspect was seen at the property around 3 p.m. CST on Sunday and was apprehended by the KSP without any additional issues. The identity of the suspect has not been disclosed in the KSP’s press release.

The Lake Station Police Department in Indiana is leading the investigation into the murder.
