Son makes emergency call to report mother’s boyfriend after hearing her screams from locked bedroom

A man was sentenced to prison by a Cobb County judge for stalking his girlfriend.

The Cobb County District Attorney’s Office has announced that Michael Lydon Strong, 43, has been convicted of aggravated stalking and disorderly conduct.

On September 21, 2020, Strong was the subject of a protection order application filed by the victim and her 13-year-old son.

According to the District Attorney’s office, Strong exhibited episodes of rage and anger prior to the filing of the protection order. During these episodes, he would engage in yelling and throwing objects.

According to his former girlfriend, she was too scared to dial 911 as she believed it would escalate the already tense situation.

On October 12, 2020, Strong unlawfully entered her bedroom while she and her son were sleeping, thereby violating the protection order.

In a state of panic, the young boy frantically retreated to the confines of his bedroom and urgently dialed 911 for help.

Upon the officers’ arrival, Strong was found still inside the house.

He received a 10-year prison sentence.
