An employee in Atlanta faced unfortunate consequences after violating state laws pertaining to illegal gambling.

On April 3rd, the License and Permits Unit of APD executed a search warrant at the 24-Hour Food Mart located on Cleveland Avenue.

After conducting a thorough investigation, it was discovered that the store was involved in distributing illegal cash payments as winnings from gambling machines.

During the execution of the warrant, the police discovered a list outlining the prizes and the corresponding cash payouts.

Vijay Sharma, the store owner, was found to be operating the gaming machines and unlawfully distributing cash payouts, as reported by APD.

The authorities apprehended him and filed charges against him for violating gambling laws. Sharma was then taken to Fulton County Jail for further processing.
