Rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again Arrested in Utah for Weapons and Drug Offenses

Rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again finds himself in legal trouble once again as he has been apprehended in Utah on six charges. These charges include possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person and engaging in a pattern of unlawful activity, both of which are classified as Class 2 felonies.

The Cache County Sheriff’s Office arrested the 24-year-old rapper, Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, also known as NBA YoungBoy, at 2:50 p.m., as stated in the police records. No bail has been set for him.

YoungBoy has also faced several lesser charges, including attempting to procure drug/prescription, identity fraud, forgery, and possession of other controlled substances.

The rap star, originally from Louisiana, has made a lasting impression with his notable collaborations on tracks by Migos, Juice Wrld, and Tyler, the Creator. However, his music career took a hit when he faced legal troubles during a music video shoot in 2020. Following a series of arrests, he was placed under strict house arrest. In March 2021, he was indicted for allegedly being in possession of two guns while a total of 16 individuals were arrested on drug and weapon charges during the filming of a music video in an abandoned lot. Currently, YoungBoy is still awaiting trial for the gun charges.

In December, YoungBoy, the rapper behind the hit song “Make No Sense,” had his house arrest conditions modified by a federal judge. This change allowed him to receive mental health treatments. However, his request for additional time in the recording studio was turned down.

In 2022, YoungBoy was acquitted of “knowingly” possessing a firearm in a separate arrest connected to a 2021 incident in Los Angeles. The LAPD pulled over the rapper, leading to his arrest following a short foot pursuit. During the arrest, law enforcement officers found a pistol under the passenger seat of his vehicle.

During the trial, a district court judge made a ruling to exclude the use of YoungBoy’s lyrics as evidence. In a 2023 interview with Billboard, the rapper expressed remorse for his violent lyrics and revealed his intention to embrace the Mormon faith.
