Police attempt to identify woman caught on camera during alleged burglary in Woodland Park

Surveillance cameras captured a clear image of a prowler and her vehicle at a home in Woodland Park, according to the police.

Now, they require your assistance in identifying her.

At 12:39 Saturday morning, the suspect reportedly broke into a house located in the 700 block of North Pine.

According to a social media post by the Woodland Park Police Department, a vehicle can be seen entering the driveway. The post states that an unidentified woman, who was driving a dark, newer-model Ford pickup, got out of the vehicle and proceeded to enter the garage by opening the main door. She then took cardboard boxes and a snow scraper from the garage.

She stayed indoors for 40 minutes, but on her way out, she returned the boxes and the snow scraper.

The police did not receive notification about the burglary until almost six hours later. By that point, the suspect had already fled the scene, but not before their image was captured on video.

The police department has stated that they are actively investigating this case and are actively pursuing leads. They have urged anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to contact Officer Sam Dunbar at 719-687-9262. The department has reassured individuals that they can remain anonymous when providing information.
