North GA man with criminal record arrested for drug and weapons offenses

Earlier this week, a woman from Rome found herself in legal trouble as she now faces several charges related to drugs and weapons.

The search warrant at 639 Elliot Drive was executed by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, April 27, around 12:27 p.m., targeting Kayla Diane Jordan.

During the investigation, law enforcement officers discovered a significant quantity of marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, THC edibles, and resin. The deputies also came across packaging materials commonly used for distributing drugs, as well as digital scales.

According to authorities, Jordan, who has a criminal record, was found to possess several firearms within his residence.

She faced multiple charges, including one felony count for possessing marijuana, four felony counts for possessing controlled substances with the intent to distribute, three felony counts for possessing a Schedule 1 controlled substance, one felony count for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, one felony count for possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony, and one misdemeanor count for possessing and using drug-related objects.
