New information emerges about the suspected murderer of Australian and U.S. surfers

A Mexican court has issued an order for the prosecution of the individual accused of killing two Australians and an American during a surfing trip. Chilling details have also emerged regarding the alleged confession made by the suspect.

Jesus Gerardo “N” — also known as “El Kekas,” a nickname meaning quesadillas — had a hearing in Ensenada, Baja California. The bodies of brothers Callum and Jake Robinson, along with their friend Jack Carter Rhoad, were discovered last Friday.

According to the BBC, the suspect’s girlfriend testified in court that he admitted to killing the three friends upon his return from their campsite. The 23-year-old woman informed investigators that he arrived at her residence on April 28 and revealed that he had done something to “three gringos.”

According to the court testimony, she inquired about the meaning behind his words, to which he chillingly responded, “I killed them.”

According to prosecutors, he presented her with new tires that supposedly belonged to the three surfers who were robbed, as reported by the BBC.

The state prosecutor’s office has announced that the suspect will face charges for the crime of “disappearance committed by private individuals.” It is also anticipated that homicide charges will be filed against the suspect at a later time.

The prosecution is currently amassing evidence to press charges against two additional suspects who are still in custody for their alleged possession of methamphetamine.

Located just south of California, Baja California is a sought-after destination among US tourists due to its captivating beaches.

Mexico’s most violent states include this one due to the presence of organized crime gangs. However, it is worth noting that tourists are generally not the primary targets of violence.
