NATO’s chief expressed disappointment on Monday, stating that member countries have failed to deliver on their promised support to Ukraine in a timely manner. This comes as Russia is taking advantage of its superior battlefield capabilities while Kyiv’s forces await additional military supplies from the West. The ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia has now extended over two years, highlighting the urgent need for assistance from NATO allies.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized the severe repercussions faced by Ukraine on the battlefield due to significant delays in receiving support.
“NATO allies have failed to uphold their promises,” Stoltenberg expressed during a press conference in Kyiv alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He was specifically addressing the delays in the delivery of weapons and ammunition from the United States and Europe.

Ukraine’s war effort is currently being undermined by a number of factors, according to military analysts. These include the lengthy Ukrainian efforts to mobilize more troops and the delayed construction of battlefield fortifications.
