More than forty legislators endorse a brief in support of Texas’ immigration battle with the Biden administration.

A significant number of lawmakers, totaling over 40, have shown their support for the state of Texas in its ongoing legal dispute with the Biden administration. The Justice Department had previously filed a lawsuit against Texas for its implementation of a law that grants law enforcement the authority to apprehend individuals who are in the country illegally.

“I am honored to spearhead a coalition of 45 fellow lawmakers who have come together to file an Amicus Brief in support of Texas’ Article 1 Section 10. Our collective aim is to bring an end to the prevailing chaos, fortify our borders, and safeguard the people of Texas. Not only do we have the Constitution on our side, but we also have the unwavering support of the American people,” expressed Rep. Jodey Arrington, a Republican representative from Texas, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.”

Arrington’s remarks come at a time when Texas is preparing to defend a state law signed by Republican Governor Greg Abbott in December. The law grants Texas law enforcement officers the power to arrest and charge undocumented immigrants, a move that the Justice Department contends falls within federal jurisdiction.

“The lawsuit, filed in an Austin federal court, states that the United States is taking action to protect its exclusive authority under federal law to regulate the entry and removal of noncitizens. It asserts that Texas cannot operate its own immigration system and that its efforts, as outlined in SB 4, encroach upon the federal government’s exclusive jurisdiction in regulating the entry and removal of noncitizens. Furthermore, it argues that these actions by Texas not only impede the United States’ immigration operations and proceedings but also interfere with U.S. foreign relations.”

According to Arrington, the law not only upholds the constitutionality but also addresses the pressing issue of the Biden administration’s inability to control the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Arrington stated that it is evident to anyone who is honest and impartial in this nation that President Biden has deliberately ignored the laws of the country, neglected his constitutional responsibility to ensure national security, and single-handedly handed over control of our border to terrorist drug cartels. According to Arrington, President Biden not only failed to enforce our laws and safeguard our border but also actively impeded Texas’ attempts to carry out the federal government’s responsibilities, including the Department of Justice’s lawsuit over SB4.

The federal government has been accused of neglecting its responsibility to protect states from invasion and enforce immigration laws, according to a brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas—Austin Division. The brief, reviewed by Fox News Digital, criticizes the government for failing to fulfill its duty.

The Biden administration is being accused in the brief of intentionally facilitating the mass illegal entries of migrants into the United States. This alleged action has led Texas to take measures to secure its borders and defend against the invasion of criminal drug cartels and the influx of illegal aliens from various parts of the world.

According to Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas., the Biden administration has demonstrated their unwillingness to protect Texans from the severe consequences of mass illegal migration.

Johnson condemns the migrant crisis as “truly unconscionable” during his visit to the besieged southern border.

Pfluger criticized the President for prioritizing a lawsuit against the State of Texas instead of safeguarding the well-being of American citizens.

The Texas law allows migrants who have been arrested to comply with a judge’s order to leave the U.S. or face a misdemeanor charge for illegal entry. If migrants choose not to leave, they can potentially face felony charges if arrested again.

The law applies throughout the entire state of Texas, with the exception of certain locations like schools and churches, where it is not enforceable.

Texas finds itself in the midst of a legal battle over the installation of razor wire near the border. Mexican officials were also displeased with this barrier, adding another layer of tension to the situation.

According to Congressman Michael Burgess, a Republican from Texas, these measures are an essential part of the state’s right to protect itself.

According to Burgess, Texas possesses the constitutional right to protect itself. He argues that there is an ongoing invasion at the southern border, and despite this, Secretary Mayorkas and the Biden Administration are failing to take action. Burgess expresses his support for Texas’ self-defense measures, emphasizing that they are only necessary due to the Biden Administration’s negligence. Burgess extends his gratitude to Rep. Arrington for leading the amicus brief in support of their state.

Texas law, as Clyde explains, exemplifies the state’s exercise of its right to self-defense.

“President Biden’s open border policies have turned every state into a border state. However, according to the Constitution, every state has the authority to defend itself against the deliberate, unlawful invasion orchestrated by the Biden Administration,” Clyde expressed in an interview with Fox News Digital. He further added, “I am honored to join Chairman Arrington’s crucial amicus brief, which supports Texas’ right to exercise its Article I, Section 10 powers. I commend Governor Abbott for standing firm against the border crisis that President Biden has brought upon himself.”
