Melissa Joan Hart’s son Mason made a splendid choice for his prom date to win his mother’s approval.
Melissa Joan Hart, known for her role as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, recently took to Instagram to share an adorable video of her son and his friends getting ready for the school dance. In the caption, she revealed the special name of her son’s prom date.
“Mason and his gorgeous girlfriend Sabrina (yes, that’s her name) had an amazing night at Prom 2024! It was a perfect celebration to mark the end of this era,” Hart joyfully shared.
Sabrina introduced the hashtag “MasondatesSabrina.”
Mason and Sabrina looked stunning in their chosen outfits for the occasion. Mason opted for a sophisticated all-black suit with a matching shirt and bow tie, exuding a timeless elegance. Sabrina, on the other hand, dazzled in a silver metallic gown that beautifully complimented Mason’s ensemble. The two were a picture of grace and style as they walked hand in hand, creating precious memories against the backdrop of Cochren & Co.’s heartfelt song, “Good Memories.”
Mason’s mother enveloped him in a warm embrace as they posed for a photo together.
The proud mother took numerous photographs of Mason’s classmates, who were all posing together. They were all ready to attend the end-of-the-year dance. In additional pictures taken that day, the 18-year-old and his date can be seen flashing a rock symbol with their hands. It was a sweet moment when he carefully put on her corsage.
Mason embraced Sabrina tenderly, capturing the essence of their connection in the final shot of the clip.
Fans were amazed in the comments that Hart’s son had the chance to attend prom with someone who shares the same name as his mom’s iconic character, which Hart famously played from 1996 to 2003.

Melissa Joan Hart and her husband, Mark Wilkerson, tied the knot in 2003 and have since been blessed with three sons – Mason, Braydon (16), and Tucker (11).

“My children often tease me, thinking that I only want to show off my movies and TV shows,” she revealed. “But I must admit, I am genuinely proud of some of them!”
While enjoying an episode of her hit comedy series “Melissa & Joey,” which captivated audiences from 2010 to 2015 through its four-season run, she vividly remembers one of her children unexpectedly entering the room.
As he sat down, he eagerly began watching the second episode. Another child walked in and remarked, “Oh, you’re watching yourself.” Ignoring the comment, he replied, “Shut up, it’s really funny!” Joyfully, she exclaimed, “He likes it! He likes it!”
She referred to it as a “proud mom moment.”
