Man who disappeared over 10 years ago found in lake on Ga.-Ala. state line driving truck registered to him

Authorities are actively working to identify the human remains found in a submerged truck in Weiss Lake, located on the Georgia-Alabama state line.

The Cherokee County, Alabama, sheriff’s officials revealed that the truck recovery occurred after a fisherman reported the incident to 911.

The truck in question was registered to Oscar Lewis King, who was reported missing in late 2013. Inside the recovered vehicle, human remains were discovered.

Deputies have confirmed that these remains will undergo identification procedures at the forensics lab. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is also collaborating to assist in the ongoing investigation.

As of now, no additional information has been disclosed regarding the case.
