Man apprehended in Missouri after being sought for armed robbery in Kansas

A man who was wanted for an armed robbery in Kansas has been located and subsequently apprehended in Jackson County, Missouri.

The Douglas County Sheriffโ€™s Office made an announcement on Tuesday, March 19, stating that they successfully located and apprehended Markcus T. Sanders, 29, of Lawrence, in Jackson County, Mo. Sanders was wanted for charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary.

The Sheriff’s Office stated that Sanders’ arrest was connected to an incident that occurred in Lawrence on June 30, 2022. It is alleged that Sanders was armed with a firearm during the robbery.

Sanders is currently in custody in Jackson County, Missouri, and is expected to be returned to face potential charges.
