Kanye West’s gutted Malibu mansion isn’t attracting much attention in the real estate market, proving that location isn’t the only factor that matters. In an effort to sell the property, he has significantly reduced the price.
According to TMZ, the price of the mansion has been reduced from $53 million in January to $39 million this week. This represents a significant price drop of $14 million.
The drop in price may not come as a surprise. The house lacks walls and feels rather uninhabitable at this point. Therefore, whoever purchases it will need to invest in extensive renovations, which can be quite costly.
As we previously mentioned, Kanye West has been making efforts to sell his luxurious property since December. He has even sought the assistance of “Selling Sunset” star, Jason Oppenheim, to help him with the process.
Jason reassured us that he had no concerns about the extensive renovation requirements. He described the house as a blank canvas, emphasizing its potential for the new owner to personalize it according to their own preferences.
The listing for the house doesn’t seem to be attracting many potential buyers, even though it is located in one of the most luxurious communities in Los Angeles. The house seems to be overlooked and not generating much interest.
BEFORE BEING GUTTED
By the way, this spacious house spans over 4,000 square feet and features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and stunning outdoor decks offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Its prime location in Malibu puts it within easy reach of restaurants, shopping, and other amenities. However, it seems to be missing a few crucial elementsโlike windows, walls, and a roof.
