The Michigan Lottery recently shared a heartwarming story about a woman who experienced a stroke of luck after being told that “money would be coming into her life very soon.” On that very day, she won a scratcher game, proving that sometimes, good fortune truly does come knocking when you least expect it.
The lucky winner, a 59-year-old woman, has chosen to keep her identity a secret, as announced by the lottery. She was the recipient of a $500,000 prize from the 50X Wild Time instant game.
According to WNEM, the woman purchased her ticket from a Fenton BP gas station in Genesee County.
“I’ve always had this belief deep down that one day, I would be the lucky winner of the Lottery,” the woman shared, as quoted by the lottery. She revealed her weekly ritual of buying a few instant games, typically from the same store. However, on the day she hit the jackpot, she decided to visit a different store before heading for a Tarot reading. She bought some tickets, carefully placing them in her purse.”
Earlier that day, she had received a tarot reading which predicted that she would soon come into some money. The lottery reinforced this notion, as reported by WNEM.
“I never imagined that this could happen, not even considering the lottery tickets tucked away in my purse. It was later that night when I decided to scratch them. As I revealed the star symbol, my initial thought was, ‘At least I won my money back, maybe $10.’ But to my astonishment, it turned out to be a life-altering moment as I uncovered a staggering $500,000 prize. Though I attempted to keep my composure, deep down I knew that my life had just taken an incredible turn,” the woman shared.
