Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to have surgery for hernia, confirms his office

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to undergo hernia surgery on Sunday, as announced by his office. The procedure will be carried out under full anesthesia.

Yariv Levin, the deputy prime minister and minister of justice, will assume the role of prime minister while Netanyahu is undergoing anesthesia, according to the office statement.

According to the prime minister’s office, Netanyahu’s routine checkup on Saturday night revealed the presence of a hernia. As a result, it was determined that he would need to undergo surgery.
