Gwen Stefani confronts Blake Shelton divorce rumors, collaborates with No Doubt after motherhood

Gwen Stefani remains deeply in love, despite ongoing rumors about her potential divorce from husband Blake Shelton.

In an interview with Nylon, the lead singer of No Doubt put an end to all rumors about a possible breakup.

“I have to admit, I am head over heels in love with my best friend,” confessed Stefani, 54.

The singer, however, confessed that she still battles with insecurities and tends to “overthink” things.

She mentioned to the outlet that in her own relationship, despite being aware of the current reality, she still finds herself creating unnecessary drama in her mind concerning her insecurities and potential future outcomes.

The duo’s recent collaboration, titled “Purple Irises,” was a direct result of that profound emotion.

“I found myself in a phase where I questioned whether I was just getting older and losing my charm,” she admitted. “During that time in my relationship with Blake, I became increasingly paranoid.”

In response to the rumors, Stefani confidently stated that she and Shelton would not allow anyone to affect their relationship.

“When you’re in love and share aligned values, no one can affect our relationship,” stated the “Hollaback Girl” singer. “People can say whatever they want about us – like how we were supposedly getting divorced just a week ago. But it’s all lies. The truth remains the truth, and we both know it…”

Stefani and the “God Gave Me You” singer have been a couple since 2015 when they both served as coaches on “The Voice.” They eventually got married in 2021.

She gushed about how he mixed things up this time, surprising her with something different from the usual amazing flowers that she loves. Stefani playfully described it as a “Here you go!” kind of gift, showing her appreciation for the thoughtful gesture. She couldn’t help but express her love for Shelton, gratefully saying, “I love you Blakey!”

Gwen Stefani reflects on balancing No Doubt, motherhood

In her interview with Nylon, Stefani revealed the challenges she faced in balancing her career with No Doubt and her growing family.

Gwen Stefani, the singer, has three sons with her ex-husband and lead singer of Bush, Gavin Rossdale. In an interview, she mentioned that she believes the band was “disappointed” when she got pregnant with her second son, Zuma. However, she clarified that no one would be upset about her having a baby, but she sensed that the band was waiting for her while she was occupied with her pregnancy.

No Doubt released their most recent album, “Push and Shove,” in September 2012. The album reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and gave the band a Top 20 hit on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart. Stefani revealed that her experience of motherhood had altered her creative dynamic with the group.

“Having two babies completely changes everything,” Stefani shared. “It drained me of any creativity and left me feeling empty. Insecurity crept in, and I found myself desperately seeking assistance.”

“I reflect on it now and realize how silly it was to try and please everyone,” she admitted. “In reality, I should have just been with my family instead. However, we went through with it, and there are some great songs that came out of it. It’s a bittersweet memory for me, so let’s not dwell on it. I prefer not to discuss it further.”

No Doubt will be reuniting for two performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 13 and April 20.
