The man noticed the pup and took Dobby back to his accommodation in Turkey. Dobby was given a cozy bed and cleaned up. However, what the rescuer and his wife didn’t know was that the dog was actually sick. Dobby was suffering from canine distemper, a highly contagious and potentially deadly viral illness.
Dobby began experiencing coughing fits and “ticking attacks.” Concerned for the pup’s well-being, the couple promptly took him to a veterinarian, who delivered the devastating news that Dobby would not make it. Determined to give him a fighting chance, the couple wasted no time and embarked on a journey to the sole distemper clinic in Istanbul, as they revealed to Newsweek. Dobby received three months of intensive care at the clinic, but his journey towards finding a permanent home was far from over.
Dobby, a lovable pup, was taken care of by a compassionate foster mom who ensured that he was kept away from other dogs until he was no longer contagious. Following this, Dobby was transferred to a dog rescue facility until all the necessary paperwork was completed for his journey to the U.K. Once everything was in order, the couple eagerly made their way to bring him to his forever home.
Upon their return, they found that Dobby required a few additional items before he could accompany them on their flight back home. These included a passport, passport photos, and the completion of necessary paperwork.
After nearly a year, they embarked on their journey from Istanbul to Amsterdam, followed by a ferry ride to England. It was a long and eventful trip, but now Dobby is safely settled in his forever home, where he receives all the love, attention, and endless treats he deserves.
