The Coachella Main Stage was set on fire when YG Marley took to the stage in the early afternoon. Little did the audience know, they were in for a treat as some of the biggest names in hip-hop joined him for an unforgettable performance.

About 15 minutes into the show, Marley surprised the audience by bringing out his mother, Lauryn Hill. Dressed in a stunning yellow suit, she took the stage and treated everyone to a mini-set of her own. She performed her classics “Ex-Factor” and “Lost Ones,” and even brought out her fellow Fugees band member, Wyclef Jean, for a partial reunion. Unfortunately, Pras was nowhere to be found. Ms. Hill and Jean teamed up to perform the popular Fugees’ hit “Fu-Gee-La” in 1995. During their performance, they brought out Busta Rhymes, accompanied by his loyal collaborator Spliff Star. Busta Rhymes delighted the audience with his rendition of “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” and his lightning-fast verse from Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now.”

On stage, with an ensemble of star power, they came together to honor YG’s grandfather, Bob Marley. In a heartfelt moment, they played snippets of his iconic songs “One Love” and “Exodus.” As the crowd cheered, Jean passionately exclaimed, “Coachella, if you want to see an end to war in the world, raise your hands in the air!” The sound system filled the air with Marley’s powerful anthem, “War,” creating a truly memorable experience.
YG enthusiastically made his way through the crowd, warmly greeting the excited afternoon attendees. He then joined Pras alongside his mother and Jean on stage to perform “Ready or Not,” filling in for Pras. Jean exclaimed, “When you combine YG Marley and the Fugees, this is the incredible sound you get.” YG then showcased his versatility by delivering a captivating rendition of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love.” The energy continued to soar as he performed “Praise Jah in the Moonlight,” a song that he first unveiled at one of Ms. Hill’s concerts in November 2023 and later officially released a month later.
Tyler, the Creator delighted fans at Coachella 2024 by bringing out Childish Gambino and ASAP Rocky as surprise guests during his performance. The crowd went wild as these two talented artists joined Tyler on stage, adding an extra level of excitement to the already electric atmosphere. However, amidst the incredible energy and memorable moments, Tyler also addressed an awkward conversation he had with Jerrod Carmichael.
