Controversy arises over allegations of government and scientific community concealing truth about COVID origins

A Congressional committee led by Republicans has accused a scientist and top advisor to Anthony Fauci of using his personal email to conceal evidence pertaining to the origins of COVID-19.

Chairman Brad Wenstrup, a Republican from Ohio, has recently reached out to the National Emerging Infectious Disease Institute. In a letter, he requested additional details regarding the said communications.

In a letter, the Select Subcommittee has brought to light potential additional efforts by Dr. [David] Morens to undermine public transparency. The Select Subcommittee has been informed of alleged communications between Dr. Morens and you concerning EcoHealth Alliance.

The letter states that Dr. [David] Morens sent emails from his personal Gmail account to both you and Dr. Peter Daszak of EcoHealth.

According to critics, Morens’ use of a personal email account enabled him to evade having his emails obtained through official records requests.

Some of the email exchanges, which were obtained from a whistleblower, involved Dr. Peter Daszak, the leader of EcoHealth, a research group that has been accused of playing a part in the development of COVID-19.

The claim that partially taxpayer-funded EcoHealth had a role in COVID’s origin has been denied by the federal government.

EcoHealth, a nonprofit research organization based in the United States, conducted coronavirus research using grants funded by taxpayers.

According to federal records, EcoHealth was engaged in coronavirus research with bats in China at the time when the pandemic originated.

According to a report by The Center Square, a federal grant database reveals that the aforementioned group has been the recipient of millions of taxpayer funds from the federal government. These funds have been allocated over the past decade for the purpose of conducting research on coronaviruses that originate in animals and, in certain instances, can be transmitted to humans.

There is ongoing debate regarding whether EcoHealth Alliance’s research included efforts to enhance the virulence of coronaviruses in humans.

Lawmakers have delved deeper into the issue and have brought forth a multitude of additional inquiries.

According to a letter sent by Chairman Wenstrup to Dr. Keusch and Boston University, there is a request for the production of documents and communication related to correspondence with Dr. Morens, Dr. Daszak, and other individuals and entities with knowledge of and access to COVID-19 origins material. The purpose of this request is to investigate the potential cover-up of COVID-19 origins information by America’s public health authorities.

EcoHealth has responded to the initial reports of these emails by issuing a statement that refutes many of the claims. In a news release, they have also made available what they claim to be the original emails in question.

In a statement, the group emphasized that the reports did not provide the full text of the emails in question. However, they argued that these emails were not part of a cover-up or inappropriate communications. Instead, they asserted that the emails clearly demonstrated EcoHealth Alliance’s efforts to communicate with senior staff at the NIH, or individuals who had previously worked at the NIH. The objective of these communications was to explore ways to reinstate a terminated grant, which had been abruptly and arbitrarily revoked. Ultimately, the grant was reinstated by the NIH, allowing EcoHealth Alliance to continue its critical scientific research aimed at preventing future pandemics.

U.S. Senator Rand Paul, a Republican from Kentucky, has been vocal about this matter. He has pointed out that over a dozen federal agencies were aware of federally funded research being conducted in China to enhance the virulence of coronaviruses.

According to Senator Rand Paul, new documents have surfaced that further validate the accusation that Dr. Fauci lied about the COVID-19 pandemic. In a tweet, Paul revealed that Fauci’s NIH lab collaborated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology to develop a proposal for creating a highly contagious coronavirus in 2018. This revelation highlights the fact that not only was Fauci involved, but 15 government agencies were aware of this information and chose to remain silent. It is crucial that the American public receives the answers they deserve regarding this matter.
