Cesar Chavez family members support Biden for president

On March 29th, the legendary civil rights and labor leader, Cesar Chavez, received a significant endorsement for the 2024 U.S. presidential election. The endorsement came from the esteemed Chavez family, who threw their support behind President Joe Biden.

Fernando and Paul Chavez, the sons of the iconic Hispanic labor leader, have announced their endorsement of Biden. They expressed their support for the Democratic candidate, who already has Julie Chavez Rodriguez, the granddaughter of the late labor leader, serving as his campaign manager. The Chavez family’s endorsement further strengthens Biden’s ties to the labor movement and underscores his commitment to championing the rights and interests of working Americans.

Paul Chavez expressed his deep admiration and respect for a president who embodies the true essence of his father, Cesar Chavez, through both his character and actions.

Ahead of his event at Union Station on Saturday, independent candidate Kennedy has made an announcement. During this event, Kennedy plans to emphasize the historical connections between his late father, former President John F. Kennedy, and Chavez.

During a notable gathering in 1967, Robert F. Kennedy Sr. referred to Chavez as “one of the heroic figures of our times.”

An invitation to the Kennedy event encourages individuals to come and honor the life and enduring legacy of Cesar Chavez, who was a close friend of both RFK and RFK Jr.

“Cesar, known for his exceptional skills in rallying farmworkers and voters, was a true champion of citizen empowerment. In the present day, we find ourselves presented with a unique chance to reclaim control of our government through the strength of collective action.”

Winning re-election for Biden hinges on his ability to court Latino voters. To that end, the president recently launched a national program in Arizona, with a specific focus on engaging the Hispanic community.
