Arrest made in Georgia for suspect involved in Johnstown crash and shooting

Authorities in Georgia have apprehended the individual believed to be responsible for the shooting incident in Dale Borough, Cambria County. The suspect was taken into custody following a car crash.

According to Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer, the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Tyree Carter, 35, in Henry County, Georgia on March 5.

Upon reviewing the surveillance footage from a nearby building, law enforcement observed an individual of small stature, who is believed to be Carter. This person was seen exiting Roberts Alley and proceeded to turn right in front of the Dale Boro office building. They were observed walking on David Street while engaged in a phone conversation.

During the investigation on February 2nd, the victim was interviewed by the police. She informed them that she was on the phone with Carter when the shooting took place, which aligned with the evidence captured on the surveillance video.

Carter is currently in Georgia, awaiting his extradition hearing.
