APD reports man evicted from Atlanta lounge returns to engage in shootout with security

The Atlanta police department is currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that resulted in the injury of a 26-year-old man.

In the early hours of Sunday, police received a distress call reporting a shooting incident at the Monaco Hookah Lounge on Trinity Avenue in southwest Atlanta.

Upon the arrival of the police, they discovered an individual who had been injured by a gunshot.

According to Atlanta investigators, the man was asked to leave the lounge but he returned with a gun and proceeded to fire shots into the building.

The suspect was hit by the shots fired by security at the lounge, according to APD.

The individual, who is 26 years old, remained in a stable condition prior to being transported to the hospital and subsequently taken into custody. However, their identity has not been disclosed.

The investigation is still in progress.
