AG’s office charges 30 individuals in a 333-count Georgia gang indictment

The Georgia Attorney General’s Office has revealed that a total of 30 individuals from Richmond County have been indicted on over 300 counts.

Attorney General Chris Carr, along with Richmond County Sheriff Richard Roundtree, announced the indictment following a comprehensive investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics and acts of violence in the Central Savannah River Area.

The indictment reveals that the defendants are associated with a criminal street gang called Trap Money (TRVPMONEYY).

The AG’s office has listed several activities, including aggravated assault on a peace officer, armed robbery, trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, theft, and various weapons-related offenses.

“We will hold you accountable if you shoot up homes, assault law enforcement officers, and traffic fentanyl in our communities,” stated Carr. He emphasized the commitment of the Gang Prosecution Unit to dismantling criminal street gangs that instill fear in entire neighborhoods and prey on vulnerable Georgians. Carr affirmed that they will not falter in their mission to ensure the safety of the people, enforce the law, and vigorously pursue and aggressively prosecute those involved in violent activities.”

The indictment accuses a group of 30 individuals of conspiring to obtain money, firearms, controlled substances, and property through engaging in a series of criminal activities.

Sheriff Richard Roundtree of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office emphasizes the importance of Operation ‘No Loyalty’ in combating dangerous drug trafficking organizations and criminal street gangs in the community. He reaffirms the commitment of law enforcement to disrupt, dismantle, and prosecute these groups. Sheriff Roundtree warns individuals involved in supporting or empowering criminal street gangs in Richmond County that they will be identified, arrested, and prosecuted with the full force of the criminal justice system, with the collaboration of local, state, and federal partners.

State officials have stated that the Trap Money gang is affiliated with well-known national gangs, specifically highlighting the Inglewood Family Gangster Bloods and the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods.

One of the defendants indicted, Davion Heath, is accused of establishing Trap Money in Richmond County in 2020.

According to the AG’s office, the majority of the defendants are being charged with various crimes such as plotting to commit murder, trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, engaging in a shooting incident at a residence with multiple individuals present, firing at law enforcement officers, damaging law enforcement vehicles through gunfire, attempting to seize a Taser from a sheriff’s deputy, and other offenses.

According to officials, all 30 defendants are facing charges of violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. It is alleged that there were more than 200 incidents involving the defendants between February 15, 2022, and April 10, 2024.

“The GBI is committed to working closely with our law enforcement partners to hold drug distributors accountable for their crimes and dismantle the drug organizations that are often connected to criminal street gangs,” emphasized GBI Director Chris Hosey. He further highlighted the significance of collaborative investigations by stating that Operation ‘No Loyalty’ is a prime example of the valuable outcomes that can be achieved through such partnerships.”

In February 2022, an investigation was initiated known as Operation “No Loyalty.” The AG’s office has reported the following seizures as a result of the investigation:
