A man accused of randomly assaulting strangers has been indicted for hate crimes

According to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr., the individual who was arrested for reportedly assaulting a TikToker walking down a street in New York City has now been charged with a range of offenses. These charges include assaulting, stalking, and harassing strangers in various incidents that are said to involve anti-female, anti-white, and antisemitic behavior.

Skiboky Stora, a 40-year-old resident of Brooklyn, is facing multiple charges for committing hate crimes. He has been charged with three counts of third-degree assault as a hate crime, one count of stalking as a hate crime, and second-degree aggravated harassment. These incidents took place between September 2023 and March 2024.

District Attorney Bragg stated that Skiboky Stora is accused of perpetrating a series of hate-motivated incidents targeting individuals based on their perceived gender, race, and religion. He emphasized that New York City’s core values include respect and acceptance for all individuals, and no one should have to live in fear due to their identity. The District Attorney expressed gratitude towards the prosecutors for their steadfast dedication to seeking justice for the victims.

According to police, 7 TikTok users in New York reported being punched within a span of two weeks. However, there is no evidence to suggest that these incidents are related. It is worth noting that one of the TikTokers mentioned in Stora’s list of charges is among the victims.

According to Bragg, on October 26, 2023, in the Chelsea neighborhood, a 37-year-old fair-skinned woman was walking past Stora. As she passed him, Stora allegedly elbowed her left shoulder, resulting in pain and bruising.
