A Laurel home was placed under lockdown for three hours after a man from Mississippi barricaded himself inside and refused to come out.
Robert Pryor, 41, was arrested by the Laurel Police Department on Friday morning. He is facing charges of grand larceny, burglary of an inner door, and possession of stolen property.
According to Capt. Michael Reaves, the investigation commenced around 3 a.m. on Friday after LPD received a stolen vehicle report at the Laurel C Spire store. Additionally, they were informed of a burglary at a residence in the Kimberly Drive area in north Laurel.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the stolen car parked behind a different residence on Kimberly Drive. Upon their attempt to apprehend Pryor, he reportedly barricaded himself inside the house.
