According to AAA data, gas prices in Georgia are continuing to decrease in anticipation of the upcoming summer travel season.
Georgians are currently shelling out an average of $3.38 per gallon for regular unleaded gas, according to recent data. This figure remains unchanged from last week’s state average.
The current average cost of filling a 15-gallon tank with regular gasoline is $50.70, which is three cents lower than last week.
Georgia’s most expensive markets include Hinesville-Fort Stewart, where gas prices are at $3.50 per gallon, followed by Savannah at $3.49 and Atlanta at $3.41.
Warner Robins, Dalton, and Catoosa-Dade-Walker are the least expensive markets in Georgia, with prices ranging from $3.26 to $3.17.
Georgia gas prices are dropping, and the same trend can be seen across the country. The average price of gas nationwide has now reached $3.59.
With the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend, summer travel is expected to be bustling and busy.
