Ukraine reports 30,000 Russian troops involved in offensive in Kharkiv region

Ukraine is currently engaged in a fierce battle against a significant number of Russian soldiers near Kharkiv. The situation has escalated to the point where thousands of civilians have had to be evacuated due to the intense fighting in the region.

According to ABC News, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine revealed that Russia has deployed 30,000 out of its 50,000 soldiers at the border for an offensive operation. This comes as the Kremlin escalates its new northeast offensive.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Monday that he has deployed additional troops to the region in response to ongoing Russian attacks. He emphasized that the reinforcements have been equipped with the necessary firepower and forces to effectively counter these aggressions. Zelenskyy also expressed confidence in the improving results achieved by these troops.

According to Zelenskyy, the enemy’s infantry and armored vehicles are being destroyed. He also noted that the enemy is actively trying to stretch their forces thin, indicating their intentions.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the ongoing fighting in the region has forced approximately 5,900 civilians to evacuate their homes and seek refuge in the city of Kharkiv. As of Monday, there are still around 200 individuals who have chosen to remain in Vovchansk despite the escalating conflict.

In his speech, Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude towards the local authorities who have been actively assisting in the evacuations despite facing continuous attacks from Russia.

According to the latest update on Monday, the Russian military has successfully enhanced the tactical situation and conducted strikes on Ukrainian troops and military equipment in the Kharkiv region, particularly in the vicinity of Vovchansk.
