According to a new poll released on Wednesday, individuals who subscribe to the conspiracy theory that Taylor Swift is involved in a complex plot to assist Democrats in winning the November election are more inclined to doubt the results of the 2020 election.
According to the Monmouth University Poll, nearly 75% of individuals who subscribe to the Swift conspiracy theory also hold the belief that the outcome of the 2020 election was fraudulent.
According to a survey, it has been found that 18 percent of Americans believe in the conspiracy theory. It is interesting to note that out of these Americans, a majority of 71 percent identify with or lean toward the Republican Party. Furthermore, an overwhelming 83 percent of these individuals indicated their likelihood to support former President Donald Trump in the upcoming fall.
Surprisingly, 42 percent of individuals who support the Swift theory claim that they were unaware of it prior to participating in the survey.
The poll was conducted following the surge of conspiracy theories on the right, suggesting that Sunday’s Super Bowl was rigged to favor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. According to these theories, the intention was to provide Swift with a prominent platform to publicly endorse President Joe Biden.

The Chiefs managed to defeat the San Francisco 49ers, with Swift enthusiastically cheering on Kelce from the stands. However, no endorsement was given.
Last month, Jesse Watters of Fox News raised the possibility that Swift could be a front for a hidden political agenda. However, a Pentagon spokesperson dismissed this speculation. Jeanine Pirro, also from Fox News, advised Swift to steer clear of politics, stating that they did not want to see her involved in that realm.
According to a senior administration official who spoke to POLITICO on the condition of anonymity, the sheer absurdity of the situation is truly mind-boggling. The official compared it to one of those memes where someone tries to subtly reveal their belief in conspiracy theories associated with the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.
According to a recent report by The New York Times, the Biden campaign is eager for Swift’s endorsement, especially after she publicly supported him in 2020. However, Trump argues that if Swift were to endorse Biden for the 2024 elections, it would be considered “disloyal.”
The Monmouth University Poll surveyed 902 adults in the United States via telephone from Feb. 8-12. The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus 4.1 percentage points.
