Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the talented player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, will now have an added source of inspiration as he enters the remaining playoffs. This is because he has recently become a proud father!
The MVP candidate and his longtime girlfriend, former college soccer player Hailey Summer, announced their pregnancy last December. And now, SGA has excitedly shared with his 3.2 million fans on Instagram that their son has finally arrived.
Ares came into the world on April 25, 2024, during the midst of the Thunder’s first-round series against the New Orleans Pelicans.
On that fortunate day, SGA had the day off while the Thunder team basked in the glory of a Game 2 victory they had achieved the previous night.
SGA’s fans are ecstatic about this development, viewing it as a potential game-changer for the Canadian basketball player. They have flooded the comment section, eagerly sharing their thoughts on how this family milestone may influence his performance for the remainder of the postseason.
One of Shai’s followers excitedly commented, “Shai is about to experience a significant boost in his fatherhood attribute!”
Shai had an impressive performance this season, averaging 30.1 points and 6.2 assists per game. This news is definitely a cause for celebration among OKC fans, as it marks their first playoff series win since the 2015-16 season.
The Thunder are currently in a waiting game as they eagerly anticipate the outcome of the Clippers and Mavericks series. The winner of that series will be their opponent in the conference semifinals.
Congratulations, Shai and Hailey!
