Valerie Cook, program manager at CDFW, vividly recalls the awe-inspiring sight of a tiny brown furball hitching a ride on its sibling’s tail, appearing as though it was surfing. Reflecting on the experience, Cook describes it as one of the most memorable moments in her career.
