Former President Trump added 23 more delegates for the GOP convention on Sunday by winning the Puerto Rico primary, as reported by Decision Desk HQ.
In an uncontested victory, Donald Trump, who is already the presumptive nominee, secured a decisive win in the primary. The official nomination will be conferred upon him at the party’s convention in Milwaukee in July.
With no other candidates left in the race, Trump has secured 1,915 delegates in the GOP primary.
The Puerto Rico Democratic primary is scheduled to take place on April 28th.
The race for the general election against President Biden is incredibly close, with Trump currently holding a slim lead of only 0.9 percentage points according to the Decision Desk HQ average of polls.
