Sonja Christopher, the inaugural castaway voted off the reality TV show “Survivor,” has sadly passed away. This heartbreaking news was confirmed by a participant currently competing on the show.

Liz Wilcox, a contestant on season 46 of “Survivor,” revealed the heartbreaking news on X Friday. She shared a photo on her account of herself and Sonja, whom she had met over Christmas, engaging in a heartfelt conversation on FaceTime.

Unfortunately, Sonja was voted off the island as a result, becoming the first person to be eliminated from the competition.
