Today, I joined thousands of Chiefs fans who came together to celebrate a great season and honor the Super Bowl victory which has brought so much joy to our state. I am devastated and angered by the senseless act of violence that turned a day of celebration for our community into a complete tragedy. During this chaos, our team thankfully made it to shelter safely. My heart breaks for those who were a victim of this needless violence. I am praying for everyone and the entire KC community. God bless the local law enforcement and first responders who quickly rushed to the scene and responded to this situation.” U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall

U.S. Senator Jerry Moran took to social media to express his concern: “My thoughts and prayers go out to all those involved. I want to extend my gratitude to our courageous law enforcement and first responders for their swift action. Please ensure your safety as you depart the vicinity.”
