A 76-year-old woman was violently assaulted inside a McDonald’s restaurant in the West Village on Monday afternoon, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD). The incident took place at the McDonald’s located at 208 Varick Street around 4:35 p.m.
Law enforcement officials are currently engaged in an active pursuit of the perpetrator, who was spotted escaping the vicinity, making their way towards Spring Street along Sixth Avenue. In an effort to help with the identification and capture of the suspect, the NYPD has released photographs, urging the public to come forward with any information that may aid in this endeavor.

A driver was sentenced for causing the death of a young girl at a pop-up car show in Carlisle, New Jersey.
The victim suffered only minor injuries to her eye during the assault and was promptly taken to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital for medical attention.
