‘Serial slingshot shooter’ found dead days after police arrest for terrorizing neighborhood

An 81-year-old man, who had been arrested near Los Angeles on Thursday for terrorizing his neighbors as a “serial slingshot shooter,” tragically passed away just one day after his release from jail.

Azusa police have reported that Prince Raymond King was released from jail custody on May 28th. Unfortunately, he passed away the following day, May 29th, at his home due to natural causes. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner determined that his death was caused by heart disease.

Neighbors initially contacted the authorities about their “quality of life” being affected by King’s behavior. They reported incidents where King was breaking windows, windshields, and dangerously close to hitting people with ball bearings.

A group of around twelve residents bravely stepped forward, recounting the countless years of terror that King had inflicted upon their peaceful neighborhood.

Azusa police reported that they found ball bearings and a slingshot during a search of King’s residence.

The court scheduled his next appearance for June 17, marking it as the date for a preliminary hearing.

Azusa lies approximately 25 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.
